Estate Planning and Probate

A personalized approach is used in establishing a plan to transfer the assets and property you have accumulated to the next generation.  We will work together to create a comprehensive estate plan to meet your priorities – taking care of your future needs and maximizing the transfer of assets to your beneficiaries.  This can be done through a will, trust or lifetime transfer.  I will make sure you understand all your estate planning options and develop a plan that works for you and your family.

Corporations, Partnerships and LLCs

Part of my practice is devoted to the formation and maintenance of corporations, limited liability companies and other entities under Colorado law.  If you are starting a new business, I can assist you in choosing between the C (regular) Corporation, the S (taxed as a partnership) Corporation, the Limited Liability Company (LLC) and limited liability partnerships (LLP and LLLP), to best fit your needs. Legal assistance is also provided to assist in protecting the limited liability status of your entity, including maintaining company records and minutes of meetings.

Homeowner Associations

Living in a covenant controlled community has its rewards and challenges.  I can help your association’s board members and managers with the following:

  • Interpreting governing documents, Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, the Articles of Incorporation and the Bylaws of the association.
  • Answering day-to-day questions regarding operational, governance, practical, and legal issues.
  • Amending governing documents to conform with the current needs of the community.
  • Providing legal counsel regarding board member fiduciary duties and safeguards to reduce your risk of liability.
